Port Charles is going through some Seattle like emotions right now - Dr recommends Julexis as the cure

Ugly Crying. That's all Lulu gets to do anymore...
Guys, I'm not gonna lie, it's been really hard to write the blog after Monday's episode. Usually we have drama mixed with some good things, or some funny things, but right now... right now it's all depression all the time. It's hard to turn depression into comedy without feeling like I am cheapening the characters I know and love. So please bear with me/us as the blog will probably be a little less funny until we can get some Julexis or Franco/Carly action. That makes me even more sad, because one of the favorite parts of my day is coming home, watching GH, and then sharing my sarcastic (but truly loving) commentary with you. Hell, I can't even make fun of Liz right now... where has all the joy gone?? Anyhow, I'll try to recap and bring the jokes as best as possible, but know it might not be great until we get some joy back. Maybe some adorable kid moments? Who knows.

As Anna established it was a new day in Port Charles (they couldn't find Det. West "all night") the smoke cleared and we see how everyone has to regroup post-party. Over on Spoon Island all the people who are technically Ben's parents are most obviously freaking/stressing out due to Ben's most recent kidnapping (poor kid, not even 1 and kidnapped 2x... he'll probably be older when he gets back #SORAS). The cops are there too, but of course Spencer is not, because seeing the emotions of him losing his mother/brother figures would just take the depression level a little to far and we are all pretty much Lulu-level depressed at the moment. Everyone demands Britt tell them where Olbrecht took the baby, and because she has lied about almost everything always they don't believe her when she says she doesn't know. I have to admit it hurt me in the #feels when even Nicolas didn't believe her. Dante has her arrested in an effort to get her to talk. Lulu and Nicolas blame themselves for everything that's happening and that hurts too. Those siblings have had it rough man. Where is Laura? Her kids needs some serious motherly love right now. (Quick call Genie Francis, she can fill the salary hold left by Sean!) Once they get to the station Dante kind of believes Britt after she says she'd rather have Ben safe and never see him again, than have something bad happen to him with Olbrecht. Dante hatches the plan to have Britt call crazy pants and say that she got away from the worst commissioner ever (not far fetched AT ALL) and that she wants to meet up with her and Ben. Olbrecht calls right as the epi ends, so we'll see how that works out.

Anna is basically around to move other plots today so she also lets us know that West has been MIA all night and he's unreliable. Well LADY his SISTER just died so SHUT IT. West tells Anna that Nina has died and almost lets it slip that Nina was his sister when Dante brings Britt in. West continues to be depressed like everyone else in town until a rando cop brings him a folder with some obviously important information! I hope it's evidence that helps clear Silas or incriminates Ava cause this story line needs to end so there is room for other cast members who have been on vacation too long (Sabrina, Felix, Franco {NOT LUCY, SCOTT, or CARRRRLOS})

West's mommy dearest drops in on Sam and Silas cleaning up some embarrassing underpants to be the wicked Bitch of the Upper West Side. She berates Sam, drops the bomb that Nina is dead, and continues to harsh on Silas as he is mourning. Michael Easton acted the SHIT out of this scene guys - like snot and tears were coming out of his nose. Sam continues to fight for Silas and reminds the witch that Ava probably did it, but Madeline just uses that to diss Sam some more. Silas seals the deal on proving he didn't care about the money  by signing away his claim to the money and kicks Madeline out.

Over at the hospital Ava is creeping around AJ's hospital room when Kiki finds her. Ava lies, Kiki believes her and we all do a collective face palm. How that girl still believes Ava is beyond me. Carly interrupts them as she has recently come to the realization that Sonny shot AJ (and is almost jealous that he got to be the lucky bastard to do so) so her and Ava fight for a little and then she talks to comatose AJ. With the awesome inspirational speech she gives (inspirational=hate filled) AJ finds the strength to open his eyes and drama can now proceed.

NOTE: there was one really funny moment when the cover story on the paper (about AJ) used a picture from like 96.... Sean is obviously still on set at this point, they couldn't use a current photo?
pretty sure this is the era that got that pic from
