A couple off days...

    I'd like to start off by apologizing to our small amount of readers that we flaked out the last couple of episodes... However, I must defend that 5 hours of GH only TV is a lot to view for all GH fans with a semblance of a life. Sometimes I come home after a long day, and I don't want to think at all let alone analyze. In our defense I must also point out that the writers also took 2 days off not to long ago, or these two episodes would have been much better. I watched them back to back and honestly forgot they were 2 separate episodes. None of the stories really progressed, I mean come on Robin is STILL THERE. Is it just me or is the longest goodbye ever? There was a last minute progression at the end of Friday where AJ finally remembers he didn't kill Connie, but does it bother anyone else that the only way AJ, the recovering alcoholic, can only remember if he is drinking? That's kind of wrong right? Anyways hopefully Janel and I (and more importantly the writers) will be back on our game tomorrow. 


Minor observations/story progressions/questions - Thurs/Fri

• Sean had to go and throw water on the flame that was the #Julexis shagging. Had i not seen Nancy Lee Grahn's tweet, I'd think they were gonna put that on pause for a while. Silly writer's with their misdirection, you can't stop the JULEXIS!!
• They've been doing a lot of weird camera angles lately. First with Nic/Liz a few days ago, and Thurs with Ric and Sonny. Did they get a new director of photography or something? That's just weird and completely unnecessary. 
• Ah the Quatermaine mansion, where there are no doors locked and apparently the front gate is only ever guarded/manned/shut when there is an emergency crew on the way…. Seriously, what's up with that?
• Also, can someone produce a map of Port Charles? I mean, how quick did Carlos get from the mansion to the hospital on Thurs? It's not like he had a car, so he wasn't going through the magic parking structure*
• What is the turn time from filming to airing? Does anyone know where I can get this information? I ask because Theresa Castillo is already showing quite a bit and I feel like they just announced her real pregnancy a few weeks ago.
• Can they cancel all the other Daytime Emmy Award categories and just have 2? Best Actor 1 - Jason Thompson , and Best Actor-2 Roger Howarth? JT is really hitting the feels every time he hits the screen.
• How much information are the casting directors in regards to future family stories? Like whoever cast Ric initially- did they know he would eventually be related to Sonny? Or did they just luck out, because they really look like they could be half brothers.
• Why would Det West call Ava's mom to tell her Nakamura is dead? She's not the next of kin, and he didn't know she was meeting with Silas and Sam did he? See what I mean about the writers having off days?
• For a town with such a large hospital and international import trade, why are there only 2(soon to be 3) restaurants?
• Why doesn’t AJ tell the worst commissioner ever that the person had a spanish accent? Because in this little town that is only 2 people...
• Who do I talk to about getting the blooper reel for the scene at Kelly’s with the new Cassadine family? I guarantee you the baby got ahold of the silverware at least once and it was loud.
• In a house with a “recovering” alcoholic the liquor cabinet is just wide open? Riiight.

*The parking structure is magic because last year it was connected to EVERY building, and allowed people to get "across town" within one conversation
