Since I've got Julian on the brain I'll start with the story line that he is currently involved in, which unfortunately is not Julexis (but she'll be back on Monday so let's all cross our fingers). Julian is busy being an awesome dad by playing True Detective with the Scooby Gang (Sam, Silas, & West). If you remember back on Monday they hatched a plan to entrap Ava. The previews at one point were decieving (which is what they always are) because it made it seem like West and Julian were super dumb about discussing "the plan" and Ava would catch them. But no! Those two hotties showed they have brains too as they had a lengthy fake pow wow about Julian compromising his journalistic "ethics" by putting out a fake story about Nakamura being held at the Brownstone, when "he" would be held the Metrocourt, Port Charles' only hotel. Over at the MC Silas, Sam and West are now planning the sting. Some police lackeys were going to help but they were called away on the more important Baby Ben case. As a result someone has to pretend to be Nakamura, and of course its Sam. Sam gets into the bed to pretend to be sleeping and waits for Ava to attempt to kill her. West turns the light out when they sense someone is coming and someone creepily opens the door in that awesome soap-y way where you don't know who they are too soon, but the outfit gives it away. Ava wouldn't be caught dead with that tacky old school jewelry (not to mention she is now at the hospital with Silas!) and DUH DUH DUH! It's Mommy Dearest with a vial!!! HOW DID SHE KNOW THEY'D BE THERE??? I don't think Hottie told her.. Did Ava tell her? Did she bug Hot Stuff? If you have already figured it out, please share because I am a lil' confused.
Speaking of the hospital.... In the aftermath of AJ's passing we get the groundwork for the anniversary episode. Monica is still reeling from AJ's death and has visits from Ghost Emily and Ghost AJ who try to insure her that they are both at peace now and she wasn't a bad mother. It was sad to see Sean go, but not this story line because Monica gives AJ way too much credit - he was mostly horrible until the end. Have you forgotten how he was horrible? Well the best part of the anniversary episode was there to remind you why. That's right - ALL THE CARLYs came together to have a bonding moment with Sonny after having confronted him in the hallway about knowing that he shot AJ. These scenes were filmed beautifully. Sonny and Carly go through their history, their love, and the many ways that AJ hurt them over the years. There were a lot of flashbacks of these stories, but more importantly when discussing a certain storyline the Carly of that story would be the one talking to Sonny. Seeing Sarah and Tamara made me misty because those were my Carlys - I left before Laura Wright started- and you can see Maurice still has a connection with them. Sonny tells Carly everything that happened, that he didn't have to shoot AJ but that he had finally had enough. He was sick of AJ taking everything away from him etc. Of course Carly tells Sonny that she will always pick Sonny because #history #love but she needed to think about what she was going to do. We got a brief reunion with Franco as Carly wakes from nightmares about AJ revealing the truth. She is about to tell Franco everything when Sonny shows up. After a little tension and reminding Carly that he needed to know what she was going to do so he could come clean with Michael first before he heard it from someone else. Carly doesn't want that and has decided she won't tell Michael . She also mentions that if Michael every found out, they'd be screwed. Now that this decision has been made, I have a feeling this story will go back to the back burner for awhile.
At the police station we have found out that Olbrecht called Diane, who has been on vacation with Max, to get Britt released. After some drama and a Lulu freak out, Britt goes to the hospital since she has nowhere to go. She runs into Brad, they re-bond and start to discuss what Britt would do if Olbrecht was able to reunite her with Ben. As if on cue Britt gets a call from Olbrecht telling her that she has new identities for them and if she meets with them, they can be reunited and run off together. The writers do a great job of making us think that Britt might make another in a long line of horrible decisions and go with her mom. However, she shows up to the police station to tell Dante that she knows where her mother and Ben are and she will help get him back. SO MANY WINS! Yay Britt has changed! Back at Liz's house Olbrecht does Olbrecht-y things and Nicolas shows up (you see he realized that Liz is lying about something because she told Lulu Rick wasn't at the house that morning) and Olbrecht reveals herself and the gun. DRAMA TO FOLLOW
MINOR STORY RECAP
We revisted the old timers (Mac, Felicia, Kevin, Lucy, Scott & Bobby) to wrap up the cheating storyline. Lucy makes the first good decision in a long time and picks Kevin!!! YAYYYY!!! I was so happy. Plus Drake just broke up with Bobbi so I don't think Scott will be alone for long.
We were back at Kelly's to hear about BLTs and learn that TJ's mom has a shady past you will soon learn about (not me, I like to fast forward through her story lines #sueME). Oh and Morgan drops in for a spell with a skeezy new hairdo and I think he is about to do something stupid.
