This #Julexis reunion is full of #ALLTHEFEELS and is the best thing this month - #GH recap 7/9/14

Yesterday the previews got my hopes up for today, and while +The Chew peeps said their daily goodbyes I wondered to myself if the previews would let me down. I was more than pleasantly surprised that not only did the previews not let me down, but today's episode was all we wanted and more!

We opened the episode in the 2nd most adorable way possible - #Naxie have fallen asleep together on the apartment couch! They looked so peaceful, and I can definitley say that some of +Ryan Paevey-Vlieger 's best acting is done with his eyes alone! He was looking at Maxie so adorably as she slept - I am counting down the days until the writers put them together. Of course they couldn't sleep together adorably the whole episode, and so Levi had to show up (I guess). The aussie gets jealous almost immediately and accused them of sleeping together. Ugh, because he wasn't bad enough ALREADY. Maxie attempts to clear things up and proceeds to inquire as to how Levi got out of the slammer. Turns out, he was never even booked ( so why was he gone all night then?) and Diane saved his bacon. You see, Mr. Self Righteous is in the country illegally (his Visa expired)! Because Levi is super dumb, he happens to spill the beans with Nathan right there and now West has legitimate ammo on the ginger. However West succumbs to the powers of love as he caves when Maxie asks him not to turn Levi in. Man that guy is so lucky, if I were Nate I wouldn't have even given him the chance to ask for grace! Levi continues to ruin everything by finding the handcuff keys to break up the future couple (sorry buddy). I am not convinced there isn't more to Levi and continue to hope he is even more shady so Nate can lock him up or deport him forever (#DEPORTLEVI is the campaign from now on)

From the apartment we travel to the park, where Jordan has yet to stop running (and yet managed to change). She's in the park for a horribly obvious meeting with Anna, so were apparently back to fighting the #MOBWARS as opposed to solving all the other open cases in town. Jordan tells Anna that whoever Julian's boss is, he is questioning loyalties as there is a new guy in town who is there to make sure the boss's wishes come true. She also tells Anna that Julian was legitimately warning her not to get involved with the boss to protect here family, but rather than feel bad for Julian or allowing her mind to open just a tad - Anna just hates him more. Just as the "covert" meeting comes to a close Mickey ( name right?) comes out of the bushes... or you know in that general direction. He starts questioning Jordan, but then gets really creepy and now they are going out to dinner. #GR-OSS

NONE OF THAT MATTERS because guess who is back in town?? That's right it's that sexy mobster/family man JULIAN JEROME! I missed his brooding, his smoldering, his all around steamy good looks, but most of all his love for Alexis. He comes tearing in the hospital looking for the woman he loves, and finds her distraught in the now vacated ER room. It turns out after we left yesterday Molly started getting some pain and so she is going for the MRI/Cat Scan etc. Rafe is also still in surgery and Alexis is melting down. Julian steps in like the soul mate that he is and begins to comfort Alexis as best he can. He gives her a massage and then begins to reassure her everything will be alright. However, in the middle of the most #Julexis time we have seen all day, Alexis let's it slip that Rafe had been on drugs. The guilt on +William deVry 's face is almost instant. As we know it was Fluke who brought drugs into town, thusly making Jules partially responsible for Alexis's pain (again). Citing not wanting to bother Molly in her delicate state Julian tells Alexis he has to go. Then the angels sang and babies smiled as he kissed her goodbye. On the way out of the hospital he is stopped by the world's worst Police Commissioner and  she is obtuse and continues to question him. She gets snarky as she walks away and I begin to dream that one day soon Dante will be in charge.

Speaking of Dante he is stressing that perhaps he questioned Molly to soon. He also feels horrible for #thuglife. He believes that poor Rafe is just a troubled team that made a stupid mistake and now has his life on the line. Since Silas is a fairly horrible guardian, and is always shagging Sam - I would love to see Dante be a mentor for Rafe should Rafe not be the heart donation source for Alice. I think that Dante is going to be an amazing father as Rocco continues to grow, and Rafe would be a nice "trial run".

Why is Dark Patrick hotter than Normal Patrick? Because HE IS.

Patrick is dealing with conscience in crisis as he performs surgery on Rafe. As if things aren't conflicting enough already even Epiphany is like "I can't believe you're doing this" . Geez, let's just all push him to do something stupid! All the stress has pushed his mind into Miscavitch mode as he starts having a vision of a "dark Patrick" who tries to convince him to slip the wrist a little and take Rafe out. He argues that no one would blame him. Oddly enough regular Patrick, who was extremely hot headed in Monday's episode, has apparently seen the light and argues back that they can't be sure what happened with the crash, and Rafe is just a kid... Ok- so I mean yay for Patrick making #goodlifechoices but just yesterday he was freaking out and having all the opposite opinions... When did he make this ethical 180? Or is the representation of the "dark self" showing that he hasn't made the full 180 but part of him knows that he has to be good? Geez +General Hospital , you're either a show that rides on a shirtless West or prodding our brains with ethical dilemmas... this is why I love you. Light Patrick prevails just in time to realize that nature is taking its course as Rafe has started to bleed and is in danger... DUN DUN DUN! What will Patrick do now?

Lastly, Nina keeps being the queen of Cray Cray all day long. She is mad that had to stay with Kiki all night, she's mad that she had a moment with Silas but it was ruined because of the people he actually cares about, and she's mad for other reasons I have stopped keeping track of. After she jumps all over the couches, like she does, she and Rosalie decide to be scheming and go to the hospital to cause more trouble. Nina rolls up likes she's going to therapy but swears to Silas she wants to be by his side. Silas is like "uh, no thanks - leave" (basically) so she continues to be not happy but leaves momentarily. However, she rolls right back just in time to be there when Patrick comes to tell Silas and Sam Rafe's current condition. Great, that is going to go so well.... I give props to Sam for not snapping at her in the hallway when she was trying to weasel her way into staying with Silas. Now that daddy Julian is back in town, I support Sam telling pops the problem and pops having her removed... from the universe. Who's with me?
