Dude! You guys, TODAY WAS SOOO GOOD! Remember yesterday when I was pretty sure it was gonna suck? Well the writers were like “Tatiana stop talking so much ish on the show, you love us remember?” Sure sure, we didn’t get all the things I wanted, but we got some of them, and others are promised for tomorrow!
Where to begin, where to be begin… hmmmm. Let’s lead up from least interesting to most interesting shall we? As such I’ll begin with the Elizabeth storyline, which in fact was actually interesting today (just not as much as the other stories). Liz was at Kelly’s, because that is PC’s primary food source, and she is pulling a Rachel and staring at Nicolas and Britt’s party invite wondering why she can’t get a cool new storyline whether or not she’ll go to the Royal Family’s party. She drops the invitation in a completely awkward direction, but it is totally ok, because Nic is right behind her to pick it up. He tells her that they have to get at least some of the old gang back together for the party, and since Emily is dead and Lucky is on Nashville, she will have to do has to come! She obviously doesn’t want to because #awkward and then Ric shows up to save the day and offers to take her to what promises to be an entertaining and awkward party. Turns out Nic hates Ric just as much as he hates AJ (apparently he framed someone {Nic?}for murder in my off years). Nic truly is an amazing judge of character when it comes to people that are not Elizabeth. Not gonna lie, I would be totally cool if Ric and Liz ended up together. I don’t really care for either character, but hey everyone deserves love - and I think he signed up for at least 3 months right?
Speaking of Nic’s judge of character, we should have known that Britt wasn’t going to turn out to be ok when he began to fall for her. I mean really guys, Britt has turned out to be so great. I totally don’t want new Lulu to find out Ben is her’s too because I just want to Britt to be happy! #thingsIthoughtIdneversay . Britt even manages to get through to Olbrecht today. In the scene that for the first time ever, made me care a little about Olbrecht, Britt pleads with her mom that she deserves a happy ending and even though her mom never got the chance with the psycho it’s not too late for her. Crying happens and feels are had. I sure hope Olbrecht was telling the truth and won’t divulge the Ben secret because the Royal family is totally adorable (mostly thanks to the prince of Adorable Spencer). Nicolas (who is now 3 shades paler and looks younger than he did at Kelly’s) walks up just in time to see the breakthrough and everyone is happy for about 5 minutes.
Silas is back from the city, catches up with Kiki (he caught up with Rafe off-screen because Rafe was reduced to recurring status last week) and then confronts Ava after she shaky cam stalks them in the hospital hallway. Ava swears she’s not framing him because she loved him or whatever. Not gonna lie, maybe it wasn’t her… I mean the wife is missing from a Swiss like facility… so who knows. Meh, forget it, Ava doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.
Ava is also back from the city after what appears to be a lengthy shopping trip at the only stores to still use paper bags (do upscale stores still do that? I wouldn’t know, I’m poor) just in time for Carlos to let it slip that Aj woke up and cleared Julian, and to throw Julian under the bus and tell Ava that Julian thinks she shot Aj. Seriously, why is this guy still around? Sabrina doesn’t want him, can he just go back to Puerto Rico? Oh well, it shouldn’t be a problem much longer because later after Julian shows up Carrrlos is dumb and almost takes Ava’s side and not Julian’s. Dear Carlos, as much as I love Julian now, he can be super violent and would have no problem beating you to a bloody pulp should the situation warrant it. I would not object, because apparently I have lost some of my ethics to Julian’s hot smoldering looks.
Before Julian came over to accuse Ava and remind Carrrlos he is the boss, he went to give us what we have all been hoping for - some JULEXIS time! It was super adorable. He brought her a beautiful bouquet of flowers (her fav) and remind her that no matter what she thinks, she has always been beautiful to him. GOOD LORD. How Alexis has still had the self control to say no (although not for much longer if I have figured out the shooting schedule) is beyond me. He can tell she is wearing down and tells her he’ll be back and is adorable and then goes to the penthouse to be a bad ass. Sure there was no making out. But this was almost better. Awww adorable Julian is the best After Julian leaves Sam magically reappears from NY and gets an update on all the craziness that happened while she was gone for her boring storyline.
Lastly we have more of the Sonny/Michael/AJ brewing sh*tstorm. Aj is still out because of the aneurysm but Sonny goes to “check on Michael” (see what AJ had to say) and acts like an awesome father and reminds Mikey that AJ knew Michael loved him even if Michael didn’t vocalize it. He tells Michael everything is gonna be alright and for a moment I think maybe he’ll tell Michael the truth so as to avoid more lying and secret keeping that will lead to Michael’s inevitable loss of trust etc. But nope still nothing, and then Michael gets us right in the feels when he tells Sonny he loves him so much etc. Dar AJ, i know you are under contract but maybe don’t wake up for awhile… at least until Sonny can get the guts to tell Michael what happened.
All in all a very good episode with lots of story progression and just enough Julexis to get me to what is hopefully no later than Friday.
