The people in this town really need to be LESS trusting - 9/8/14 #GH recap (aka PC HEAT episode 5) @generalhospital

*cracks knuckles* Phew! It's been awhile... let's see if I still remember how to do this.... It's been awhile since I posted but it was just in time! So many summer storylines gearing up for their final turn around the bend! ( I hope) . I know what I am dreaming for to happen with certain storylines, but to be honest I hope the focus on Nate and Dante doing their thannnng doesn't go away. I mean they're cops.... so it shouldn't, but let's be honest....

Give this kid ALL THE AWARDS - that FACE!

First in line for the summer story wrap up is the Drake family accident culprit. You and I both know that it was dear old Viktor that commissioned poor Thug Life to run the van off the road. *sob* I still miss that kid. Lest we forget that our dear Prince Adorable has had more than one adult problem thrown his way this year, Lil' Spence has let it slip to Emma that he knows who might have told Rafe to commit the crime. When Emma wants more info, he clams up remembering just what is at stake. He pulls the most adorable little topic change, and I started to worry that this was going to be a boy who cried wolf situation. Thankfully Emma is a bad ass lil' princess and drags Spence to the ACTUAL ADULTS so the issue can be addressed. Spence tries to detract, but Emma is his weakness and he let's it spill that he knows but he can't tell the whole truth because she could be in danger. I just about died. He may be bratty every so often but gosh darnit if that kid isn't the most chivalrous little punk on TV. Nicky's acting is on point here as you can almost see in his eyes that this guy is handling problems and dealing with stress that no 8 year old should have to deal with. Before Patrick can morph into yelling angry parent guy (to an 8 year old), Sam steps in and pulls Spence aside for a cousin to cousin bonding sesh. I won't lie to you, I was like wait..... what? ohhhh yeahhhhh. Families in this town, am I right? She reminds him that bad guys only win when the good guys don't tell the whole truth. Spence spills it's Fluke Spencer and the adults look obviously shocked (he's not correct here, but hey at least the kid got that off his chest). I wonder if he'll spill Fluke is after Uncle Sonny too (that's a thing remember?) 

The rest of the episode was basically a super-sized episode of PC HEAT. I am ok with this, the whole let's fit 6 storylines in one episode just gets EXHAUSTING, not to mention nothing actually moves forward. 

Make the woman with the missing son cry - POINTS

Part 1- The kidnapping storyline has just taken some steroids as now Nathan and Dante are missing too. I don't know how any other cases are being solved or addressed if the only two capable members of the PCPD are now MIA. Anyhow, Anna is pretending to be a crime solver as well and she's still trying to get a hold of Frisco. Dear Anna, if he's still not calling you back MOVE ON, find another clue.... Geez you suck at this job (#DANTEforCOMMISH). Olbrecht doesn't have time for her crappy detective skills and crashes the office. You see, Olbrecht is convinced that Anna let this happen, because she wants to take all the men she loves away from her. I would mock her and tell her to calm down, but Anna proceeded to be AWFUL to a woman whose son is missing and made the poor crazy doctor cry. Geez Anna, PEOPLE SKILLS. I felt bad for Olbrecht, but she was being a little crazy too- that conversation had no winners. Getting nowhere with the world's worst commissioner, she storms out to call Viktor looking for help. NOT SO FAST Dr. O! Viktor is on a mission to find out if Nathan is really his son and when she won't give up the info he reminds us that he is "old school" Cassadine as he gets all mean and what not(all the while basically admitting to having the kidnap victims). Poor Dr. O, who can she trust?? Never fear! Your daughter, who despite her parentage is generally logical, is trying work with Anna to actually get stuff done. Anna almost reveals whether or not they really killed Faison (please say know I love when his crazy hair comes back and wreaks havoc once every 10 years), when O comes back revealing that she thinks she knows where everyone is! I don't like Anna, and my care for Dr. O comes and goes depending on her level of cheeseball lines, but MAN - seeing them team up is either going to be REALLY GOOD, or AWFUL. I cannot wait. 

I'd be ok locked up with this... wouldn't you?

Part 2- Saving money on new set design, everyone is now being held at Crichton Clark. Lulu and Dante are in one room, and eventually West and Maxie in the other. Before Nate is locked up with Maxie, he has a run in with daddio's men. He's trying to get loose to save Maxie while blindfolded (such a hero this one) so they start roughing him up before his maybe-daddy comes to kind of break it up. Their violence works to his benefit though as he not-so-subtlety takes a DNA sample from West's new wound. The goons, who are also horrible actors,  lock Nathan up with Maxie (but just far enough apart they don't start making out immediately). What follows is super romantical as Maxie blames herself for this whole mess and Nathan tells her she is perfect and we all collectively swoon/sigh at him. EVEN BETTER she finally admits she has feelings for him and all the Naxie shippers rejoiced! He's going to admit the same and they will get together and be happy and sweet.... you know as soon as he breaks them out, stops his crazy maybe dad, his crazy sister/cousin etc....

Oh and Dante and Lulu have the married version of this scene in their quarters as they talk about Rocco and try to do some crime solving since they don't have to waste time professing their love for each other. Dante keeps pushing forward on the case dropping the bomb on Lulu that her dad maybe behind a lot of this mess. Don't worry Lulu, it isn't your dad it's Fluke.... we just don't know who that is yet. Due time kids, due time. Someone "surprising" crashes their bonding session, and we get to wait until tomorrow to find out just who shocks Lulu upon entry.
